We are really enjoying our new refrigerator. The counter-depth option was perfect for us and we like the craft ice feature as well. Saw many reviews from people having trouble with this feature but we are a month in with no problems. There is plenty of space in the refrigerator but it is a little akward in that the only place to store a tall item is in the refrigerator door. Like I said its awkward but weve adjusted.

Refrigerator not as good as advertised

We purchased all new appliances but we keep having problems with our craft ice cuber and we have called for service twice and that is the biggest run around Ive put thru The lg people make the appointment and the sub contractor never shows up We have even called the sub contactor and he and she would keep changing the date this has been 3 weeks and now hopefully the factory LG tech shows up on Wednesday Hopefully they can fix it this refrigerator goes out of warranty in 3 months maybe we should get rid of it

Ice maker broke within 6 months.

Ice maker stopped working and so did large ice cubes. Parts have been ordered and Im waiting for the repairs its been over 2 weeks. LG repair place schedules the day before and you cant schedule for a day when its good for you. MGR repair store. Im very unsatisfied and disappointed.

I bought this item a month ago and I love it. It has so much room and its so easy to locate anything. I love the freezer with the two drawers and the craft ice cubes. The refrigerator lights make it so easy to see whats in there. I am showing all my family and friends how great it is. I love the counter depth. It looks great in my kitchen. The doors show no fingerprints and I have received many compliments on its design and looks. I have been looking for two years before I decided to get this product.

Great customer seevice

I bought my frige July 4th last year. The only issues I have had is that two of the door trays were cracked. The were cracked in such a way that I thought it was the design of the tray. 8 months later they broke. Lg replaced the trays at no charge. Costco and LG are wonderful to deal with. I highly recommend both companies. The ice makers are a huge plus too.

Unreliable craft ice maker but

Weve had craft ball icemaker replaced twice already likely a design problem that is still not cured but LG repair folks dispatched to help have all been very good. LG even reached out to us to get it fixed the second time - before we even called. I guess the app saw problem and triggered the call. Anyway - fridge holds a lot for its capacity and we still like it.

Almost started a fire in my house

Unsafe fridge 5/8/2023

I wish I could give negative stars. I had a decent experience with my first LG fridge in 2013. However the quality has gone way down and this has been a complete disaster. Only after about three months of regular use and ownership of this new refrigerator the motherboard of the ice/water/temperature control display completely short-circuited. The night it happened the refrigerator made loud popping noises from the top of the unit flashing lights from the same area and it did not stop until I cut power to the refrigerator. When I cut power there was a waft of white smoke coming from the top of the refrigerator. Basically if I was not at home this refrigerator would have caught fire burned down my house and God forbid if my dog were home alone... Do not buy this refrigerator. My confidence in LG as a brand particularly regarding refrigerators is broken. I am in my third week of waiting for LG to refund or replace this refrigerator even though they initially decided that they still had to try fixing this unsafe refrigerator first with an attempt at repair even though it is clearly a product liability to do so for an appliance that short-circuits and nearly starts a fire. I guess the advent of trying to load the control system with Wi-Fi and other unnecessary features has not been good in the refrigerator realm. Also while the people in the warranty department are perfectly nice nothing has been resolved and all they have to do is process this claim and move forward. I purchased this refrigerator through Best Buy. It arrived on a clear not raining day and there was nothing wrong with it the day that it was installed.

Very disappointed

Im sorry to say we have had some problems with our unit. The first one was damaged upon delivery. Had to wait almost 2 additional weeks for a new unit. 6 months later the craft ice maker died and its now over a month and LG cant seem to find a service person to fix it. and we live in a suburb of Portland Oregon..not a rural area Customer service escalated the problem and we were told this would be replaced by their presidential liason. Since they were replacing the unit we had to remove and cut up inside sticker and send picture proof that it was done. We now have no serial/model nomenclature in the unit. Today they changed their story and we were told that they are again looking for someone to repair After several days we are still waiting for a resolution...repair..new ice maker something The craft icemaker only makes 3 or 6 cubes in 24 hours just an FYI. Very disappointed with this unit and LG. We have had LG products in our last 3 homes. Complete kitchen and laundry and until now never had an issue.

We loved the ice balls originally. It was wonderful until one of the ball holders started sticking. All but one ice ball would dump and then it wouldnt close completely. When the ball tray refilled it spilled into the ice tray making a sheet of ice.

Spent all that extra money to get the special craft ice maker. Worked for just over a year and boom clogged every time. Just out of warranty and no support Purchased a new part and that one lasted about 10 months. There is a critical flaw in the design and I will never recommend this product

Broken ice maker

I bought this 13 months ago and wish I had purchased an extended warranty as Im paying for it now. We spent $7500 outfitting our kitchen with LG appliances and I cant even get a response from LG customer service. The fridge started making really loud noise almost like a helicopter and then the ice maker died. Ran through the troubleshooting to no avail so time to sink some money into this poor product. Hopefully this will last a while so we can save up and purchase a fridge from a more reputable brand.

CRAFT ICE ISSUE

Our refrigerator is over one year old and we were on our second issue with the Craft Ice Maker . I called and talked to a guy on the Chat Line . He said we had a Firmware update that needed to be completed for the Craft Ice to start up again . The first time they came out and replaced the Craft Ice Maker as it was only making 1/2 cubes and water was getting into the tray and freezing . We bought our unit from Costco so we got the 2 year warranty . I finally reset my phone and the refrigerator and the Firmware update came through . So I will know in a couple of days whether it worked or not . The technician on the phone was a slight condescending but in the end I finally figured it out on my own after disconnecting with him

Great refrigerator but icemakers are marginal

I bought this refrigerator June 2022. The refrigerator itself has been great but both the in-door icemaker and the craft ice maker have been marginal at best. To date I have had to reset the craft icemaker 4 times because it quit making ice. The in-door icemaker also quit recently and it failed to work after reset. After a call to LG service unplugging the refrigerator produced an error code for which they scheduled a service call. However about 4 days later they sent a text instructing me to try reseting the icemaker again and this time it worked. I dont have much faith that this will be a permanent fix given the craft icemaker history.

Craft Ice

We have owned this refrigerator for just under 2 years and the craft ice maker has need to be repaired/reset multiple times. Thankfully it is still under warranty. We would not buy another LG Refrigerator ever again. This product has not lived up to our expectaions and I do not have much confidence that the situation will get better over time. As a result I may buy an extended warranty which I never do due the unreliable quality of this refrigerator.

Love the craft ice

We have had our new counter-depth fridge for about a month now and there are lots of features I like but my husband loves the craft ice The ice in the door is nice but the craft ice is very cool and last longer than any other. I like the dual doors and the roomy baskets in the door. My veggies seem to last longer and everything is more visible so we have fewer forgotten leftovers.

Great Refrigerator poor support

I am very satisfied with the unit however it took me several calls for support to find out about the ice maker in the freezer. Finally I was able to talk to a Best Buy service tech who assisted. The other issues I had were to connect to WiFi. I purchased the Thin Q Microwave and Dishwasher all of which including the Refrigerator were very difficult to connect. Again it took several calls to find someone that was able to explain the process. Once everything was connected they are all working great. I am hoping they last as long as my previous appliances.

Purchased this refrigerator in Feb 2023 to replaced a side-by-side counter depth. I cant believe how much more room this has even as a counter depth. Having two doors for storage is great. I love the deli drawer even though the two smaller drawers that I use for produce and fruits are not quite big enough since we do use alot of veggies each week. We do purchase our groceries each week since there is only the two of us so this has plenty of storage for our use. Love the lower freezer with three shelves. My only complaint would be is I wish all freezer shelves work independently. One shelve moves with the large lower storage area. I would prefer to pull them out separately as needed.

Very good except for the craft ice maker

We are very happy with our LG counter depth refrigerator. It keeps our foods at the right temperature is well lit and makes ice well. However the craft ice maker was designed wrong and we have had a lot of difficulty with it. We have had 5 replacements installed. LG keeps improving this ice maker. We will see if works this time. Our LG technician has been incredibly amazing. He makes the process so much easier.

We bought this refrigerator.about a month ago. Realy like most everything about it. The craft ice is interesting and will get a work out this summer. The only feature we have not warmed up to is the fact that both doors must be opened to access the lower refrigerator drawer. Would have liked it better if drawer was split so that a drawer could be accessed with only one door open. Of course the trade off would be less overall drawer space. Counter depth works great for our kitchen.

WE got the counter depth fridge to save space between fridge and island- we were worried about cubic foot space- but having french style makes better use of space. We love the craft ice maker Have found the door not shut reminder helpful. Only problem so far is that during delivery - delivery people cracked our fridge line and we had water in basement and had to get repairs done. Otherwise would have been 5 stars.

This is a very nice spacious counter depth refrigerator. It performs as expected. Hopefully it will perform as expected for 12+ years without issue. That is my expectation for a quality product from a quality manufacturer. Pluses: good storage in the refrigerator portion. Lots of door storage to be used as you please. We have lots of sauces and condiments so we use the door storage for that. There are two slim shelves on the bottom inside of the doors which are great for loose packets or sticks of butter. The adjustable shelf on the right is great for storing tall items below. This is where we keep milk tea and other tall items. The deli drawer is nice and holds quite a lot we wish that it was accessible in some cleverly engineered manner with only one door open. That would be a real plus The veggie/produce drawers are ok. They dont hold a lot. Freezer storage is decent. I had a counter depth side by side previously and I like the bottom storage better. It is performing as expected. The compressor and motor are quiet. This is really a big improvement compared to my previous unit. Cons: the finish is attractive and seems to be finger print resistant BUT be prepared to treat the finish with kid gloves The finish is thin. This is a decorative finish and not durable. This finish is not what made stainless steel the work horse of the kitchen. If you have kids be prepared to have scratches dings and dents. We have three adults in the house and are extremely careful and have issues. Do not ever push the freezer door closed with a knee or foot I think it would be a problem. Use the handle. Overall I think protecting and maintaining the finish will be difficult. The craft ice maker is a neat feature but the spheres have a concave disc on the bottom. They are not fully formed. This significantly reduces the cool factor of the feature. The ice maker makes small cubes and not a lot of them. Our previous freezer made a lot of ice which was convenient for filling a small cooler or hosting company. Also the latch to access the ice is made of plastic and plastic parts are always a risk for cracking. Lets see a couple other small irritants: the door ajar bell comes on pretty quick. Id prefer it come on after two minutes or more I might be able to change this though I just havent looked into it. There is a rattle when the doors shut from the items stored on the door shelves this just bothers me but is not an inherent problem with the design. Overall I am happy with my purchase. I only gave four stars because I think the finish will be hard to protect and the refrigerator needs to be a workhorse in a family kitchen as well as a handsome addition to a fab kitchen.

So far so good. Seems to be a solidly built unit. The shelving seem logical and adjustable to our needs. The placement of the handle for the deli and crisper drawers is on the bottom which seems odd. The ice maker is slow but makes lovely spheres. My calibrated thermometer indicates that the temperature settings on the door are one or two degrees higher than true.

So happy with our refrigerator. Delivery by polite and timely personnel. Setup was great. We had ONE problem.... It isnt LGs fault. Home Depot recommended a water supply line which I included in the purchase. The water had a foul plastic taste to it. After calling LG wonderful support line The advised me to purchase a service line made of PEX tubing. That changed everything. Water and Ice now taste great. PLEASE INFORM ALL STORES SELLING YOUR PRODUCT THAT WATER SUPPLY LINES MUST HAVE PEX TUBING WHERE WATER COMES IN CONTACT WITHIIN THE WATER LINE..... YOURE SUPPORT DEPARTMENT STATES THEY GET MANY COMPLAINTS LIKE MINE....
